Don't Miss Out on Free Money for College!
Did you know that the earlier you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) the more free money you may be eligible for?
There are several grants available to students based upon financial need and are first come first serve.
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) provides $400 - $4,000 a year to eligible students and is administered by the college's financial aid office. However, not all schools participate. Each school receives a certain amount to give. Once the full amount has been awarded to students, no more FSEOG awards can be made for that year. You apply for this by filling out the FAFSA, as early as possible. If you wait, the funds may be gone.
The Access Missouri Grant is provided to students who meet eligibility requirements, determined by the FAFSA. It provides $300 - $2,850 a year for those who have met the FAFSA priority deadline of February 1st. Students who fill out their FAFSA between February 2nd - April 1st may receive the grant if there is money left over, but it's not a guarantee.
The FAFSA also determines your eligibility for the Pell Grant, Work Study, and loans. The A+ Program requires all students to fill out the FAFSA, as well as, some scholarships.
Even if you think you make too much money for financial assistance, fill out the FAFSA. There are over a hundred items that are considered to determine a student's eligibility. A lot of students have been pleasantly surprised to be eligible for part of the Pell Grant or other opportunities.
So fill out your FAFSA on October 1st or as close to it! DON'T WAIT!! Come to our FAFSA nights to have us help you.
