Did you miss Life Hacks 101 - Scholarships 101? Well, you are in luck. Here is a brief overview of what we discussed and some helpful links.

Check out this scholarship link with a list of some scholarships and on the second sheet a list of helpful websites to begin your search. I will update this link as I find more scholarships. Go ahead and save the link.

Did you know that there are many forms of financial aid, such as:


There are many types of scholarships for which you may be eligible.

  • Merit Based Scholarships are for different achievements in academics, sports, clubs, etc.
  • Need Based Scholarships are for those who can demonstrate a financial need. 
  • Student Specific Scholarships are for gender, ethnicity, medical issues, family members who have served in the Armed Forces, and many other things.  There's even scholarships for being left-handed!!
  • Career Specific Scholarships are for the particular field of study you choose.
  • College Specific Scholarships are for students who are attending a specific college. Each college has Institutional and Foundation Scholarships. 
There are many ways to find scholarships online, through your school, college, and more. A lot of students like to use the app Scholly. Your home high school will have a list of scholarships from their community. Make sure you check for the college specific scholarships for your college of choice. Use the internet, BUT be wise. You should NEVER pay to get a scholarship.
